Ping is too cool for school ...
... she's got a tattoo in her ear.*
She's also got the most beautiful green eyes I've ever seen on a living thing.
*No choice, the vet did it when he removed her tiny wee womb.

Anybody who argues ...
... Red & Green should never be seen are wrong, wrong, wrong.
Just look at scarlet poppies in the field. OR, my new cushions.

It's summer, properly & everything. And now I get to count down to winter.

Bloody hell, that's red ...
... Mr Brown's first words on ripping off the coverings.
It's true, it is red, but I like red and I think it goes well with green and just wait until I get a copy of La Belle Dame Sans Merci up on the wall.
I'm not at all sure about the monkey cushions but they will do until I find just the right thing.
Ping, of course, thoroughly inspected the entire thing for safety & comfort. It's met with her approval.
And mine, very comfortable, perfect for reading in the afternoon sun.

It's the first day of winter ...
... the Winter Solstice. So, goodbye Autumn,
it's time to change the seasonal colour of the dancingmouse blog.
Funnily enough, even though it poured rain last night, today, the first day of winter, is bright, cold but sunny. Time for a little light laundry I think.

New mirror ...
... we bought at the weekend, after ordering the new door.
We didn't actually know we were in the market for a mirror until we saw this one. I think the yellow sunflowers are just perfect with the walls in the hall. And it means I don't have to run the length of the house (to the bathroom) just to pop my earrings in every morning.
Oh, and the front door you can see in the reflection, I'll be waving bye-bye to that one day (soon, make it soon).

Afternoon sunshine ...
... of course in a month or two all this afternoon sunshine will mean it's unbearably hot outside and I'll be wilting and sulking and flopping about like a Victorian maiden unable to function at all. Also, I'll be overcome with ennui. Still, at the moment it looks just lovely.
And tonight (or very early tomorrow morning) we have to put the clocks forward an hour, which means an hour less in bed in the morning - buggeration.

Don't Forget ...
... to be nice to some breasts today. Your own should you possess a pair or someone else's if you don't! I'm going pink for today, because cynical me just loves jumping on a bandwagon.

Red ...
... Yesterday, after communing with nature and reflecting on the joy of life, Mr Brown & I joined the hedonists for breakfast in Rozelle. After eggs benny & coffee & chat, Mr Brown & I wandered down Darling St for a bit. I spotted a new(ish) shop. All candles, I love a good candle and walked out of the shop lugging a monster, size and shape of a de-lidded dinosaur egg.
The most beautiful rich reds and scented with pomegranate. How could I resist?
Now, the lady in the shop said the first burn should be 12 hours, so it was lit as soon as we got home.
Later that evening I noticed my totally fabulous red suede slippers
and this, on the wall.
I have got to get myself a little red cap.
