... So, I fretted all weekend about the whole gummi bear / earlobe thing and decided the only way to be sure was to - buy some gummy bears. I'd get my comrades (fellow Government drones) to help with the testing.
And so, at lunchtime, I wandered down to the lolly shop and said to the woman behind the counter (loud & proud) "500g of Gummy Bears please". She handed me the bag, I paid the money and went back to work. I ate my lunch (mmmm, lentil cottage pie), I ate my piece of fruit (2 actually, blood plums), I got a bowl from the kitchen, ripped open the paper bag and poured into the bowl FUCKING JELLY BEANS! Yuck!
Comrades still ate them though (& I get brownie points for being the provider of the afternoon sugar hit). Looks like another walk to the lolly shop tomorrow, bugger (better wear flats).

I don't totally agree ...
... with this summing up of moi, but it's a pretty cool thingy all the same.
Also, I read somewhere the other day (although I'm buggered if I can remember where) that the reason Gummy Bears are so popular is because they have the same consistency as EAR LOBES. Yes, that's right, we like to bite down on Gummi Bears because we like to bite and nibble the ear lobes of our loved ones! It's so weird it could be true!
Oh, and it's raining.

Bees ...
... I think it's pretty well established that I'm a bit of a bee fan. So reading this beautiful and sad story got me thinking ... can I have a wee suburban hive in our teeny garden? Would honey bees bother the blue banded boys & girls? Investigations begin ...
Oh, it rained, nice steady soaking rain, last night and then thundered down this morning. But now ... the sun shines and the sky is blue, I'm orf to buy gummi bears!
Edited to add - Got the bears and the general consensus of the comrades is, yes, gummy bears are eerily similar to the feel of ear lobes. Squeeze a bear and it's a lot like a fleshy earlobe.
Biting through a bear is, clearly, a lot easier. Mr Brown thinks the existence of skin on the ear is the factor here.
