I was in a middle class suburban area and attended both Catholic and public schools. School was rough. The neighborhood kids were rough.
And I had it a million, zillion times easier than kids these days have it. No cell phones, no digital cameras, no texting or God help us, sexting, no FaceBook, no Formspring, no Twitter and not to sound too much like a prude, no MTV videos with underdressed, oversexed performers on a 24 hour loop.
I quake at the thought of what Izzy will face all too soon.

Lee, I cannot imagine how bad it must be now and am so very glad I'm too old to experience it.
Amen to both PG and you. I pity kids who must try to navigate the educational system today.
Zoomie, yep, it's hard enough being an adult on line, no idea how kidlets cope.
