We bought a new travel cage ....

... to bring the little sister home in next weekend. It's been sitting in the back room, not doing much to earn it's keep, so we opened the door. It's Ping's new play hidey spot. I guess she doesn't associate this one with going to the vet to have indignities visited upon her furry wee person.

She likes it because it's uncontaminated by "cat." Or "cat with fear."
We gave a traveling bag to Bartlett, but I don't think she liked Bean Sprout's aroma; she dug out the cushion to shreds.

Three days! Breathless.

Cookie, the idea is it will smell a bit Pingy, so the newbie will (a) know her smell and (b) perhaps smell a bit Pingy herself.
Winks, for the wee Ping, we line the travel box with an old shirt Mr Brown has worn to death, she loves the stinky fellow!:)

Did it come with a cushion?
Snazzy!
Because the vet is so far away from our home, accidents occasionally occur. So we wrap a folded newspaper in a flannel pillowcase and slide it in. The newspaper gives it some stability and the pillowcase is soft.

Hope the newest family member enjoys the Ping smell!

Lee, it did come with a cushion and we always used to line the old one with newspaper, particularly as Toogie was a stress poo-er (erk).
