Sea Sick ...
... that's the feeling, ever so slightly sea sick. AND I'm completely deaf now (all I can really hear in my own breathing, it's a bit creepy) because I've got magic drops in my ears and a wall of cotton wool to keep them in. Mr Brown communicated via sign language. He was very lewd, so I had to punish him by pretending to be him, dancing.

Bet he made you laugh, however! :-) I already love that guy and I've never met him!
Something like the pantsless Tom Cruise in Risky Business?
Get well.
Hope you feel better soon!!!
I know you are describing your temporary loss of hearing due to the wax, the treatment and the cotton wool.
But I have to mention, my Mom permanently lost her hearing in one ear. Everyone, including an MD, initially believed it would be temporary. It was attributed it to a couple of severe colds and sinus infections she had in quick succession.
Sudden hearing loss is a medical emergency! ( http://www.nidcd.nih.gov/health/hearing/sudden.asp )
I don't want to alarm you, just give you the heads up.

Zoomie, yes, I did laugh, we are both 8 years old really!
Cookie, no not that at all, Mr Brown's special dance is all in the hands!
Lee, ark! Ears are returning to normal and I've lost the unbalanced odd feeling - I think I'm on the mend *crosses fingers*
