Spring has sprung ...

... today, according to the calendar, is the first day of Spring! Hooray.Of course, I don't actually count it as Spring until the equinox but the days are warm, the evenings balmy, flowers are bursting out all over the place, bebe leaves are pushing their way out into the sunlight and I've been in a ridiculously good mood for a WHOLE WEEK - even though I've been back at work. At first I put it down to delight in being healthy and snot free at last, but I keep finding myself humming little songs, and not getting worked up by stuff that would usually have me all cross, and grinning like a loon. It's got to be Spring fever - long may it last!Oh, and here's August's WordCloud.

So...wait...how does it get to be Spring over there a full 3 weeks before the Equinox?

Not that I'm complaining, I think we need more spring and summer, and less fall and winter. Well, fall here is warm, so less winter. This winter it was cold, I went running a few times in the morning and it was 36F (about 3C).

Well E, I guess it's not really spring, it just feels like it ;)

I think the Guvamint likes it easy, 1 September = 1st day of Spring (rather than the moon reliant equinox), so it sticks with the calendar. I'm not complaining either, but wait till summer, then it's non-stop complaint, believe me.

Hey I like the green background, very spring-y. I see you lightened it a little since yesterday. This is easier to read, but it was a beautiful emerald color.

I thought the other green was more Leaf-like, but it was making it hard to read. I could have gone to the effort of changing all the fonts but ... it's lovely outside and there's so much to do!
