Pink, teamed with brown school shoes (ugh) but you can bet my knickers matched my socks.
Lovely orange with gold chain and white gogo boots people. And what about the Globite shcool bag?
Rosebud dress with puffy sleeves, a pink wool over-dress and white mary janes.
Navy blue with silver buttons and those brown school shoes.
Mustard with heart-shaped pockets and those bloody brown school shoes again, no wonder I went a little shoe wild when I grew up. That's my china kitten, I must have been between real ones.
Pink woollen blackberry-stitch jumper and Piggie. Piggie was found when my parents were packing up to move at the end of 2006, he was more than a little moth eaten and went to live on a farm (yes he did!).
Up until I was in my very late teens I refused to wear jumpers made out of anything other than bebe wool, so all woollens were pale and colour-range limited (but very soft).

She also made me trendy teen stuff growing up, we'd go to the shops, I'd point out what I liked, she'd draw it and whip it up at home. (There's no photies, I was a bit moody at the time and disinclined to pose for prosperity.)
She also made the Brown-Mouse nuptial frock, and for this occasion I went all traditional and allowed a snap or 2.

I helped sew all those buttons on!
She's also made every curtain & blind in both Brown-Mouse houses, made boat nighties for Mr Brown's sailing boats and soft covers for ugly couches - she's pretty nifty my ma!

Wow !
Cool pics. You look liek the me I wanted to be ( after those bebe frocks you saw on my blog, all the childhood years were to be in boy-clothe-combos-with-boy-hair-to-match )
Like your shoes, it's no wonder I chose to have long hair for the 20-odd years I have been out of home.
You looked gorgeous !
The orange dress reminded me of a drum majorette !
My mum learned from her mistakes, long hair wise. I was a monster when it came to brushing & washing it! So my poor little sister had to have the boy hair growing up. And since she & our brother were so close in age, it was easier for mum to dress them both in shorts or trousers, she kept being mistaken for a boy!
I'm currently conducting a long hair experiment (almost 2 years since a haircut) but am seriously considering going short again, it's sooooooo much easier in so many ways.
The frocks! The shoesies! The pigtails! The whole ensemble is so adorable! My fave is your orange outfit - yes, it's very drum majorette - altho your gogoboots are a hoot. Reminds me of my lime green hotpants & bright blue kid leather shoes. The 70s. So tragic!
ooh, the 70's don't remind me - I had a blue & white Crocheted bikini! I've photies but will NEVER post them.
