... election day. Labor won, more here. I won't come over all political but I won't say the result broke my heart or anything, that would be a fib after all.
It's also turn back the clock day! An extra hour in bed, that can't be a bad thing.

Hmmm. Premmya Yemmya in for another while then.
4 more years! I can live with that, at least he doesn't prance around in speedos or threaten to sack practically the entire public service, or hand over all IR to the Feds (real the evil gnome Howard). Yep, I can live with Morris & Co.
It broke my heart, but not because the Liberals didn't win.
No. It broke my heart that any government that has so comprehensively screwed up, and has so manifestly failed to develop or maintain the infrastructure we need to maintain our place as one of the world's great places to live, can win an election anywhere, let alone here where I live.
And it broke my heart that the other side of politics is so unimaginitive and devoid of talent and direction that no-one was prepared to vote for them.
Ah well. It was Mark Twain who once wrote "in the end it doesn't matter who you vote for, you still end up with a politician."
Mr Twain was exactly right, as were the folk in the news papers who said voters, this time, were voting for the team they loathed the least.
