Day 14 ...

... today the boats were packed away & I bought a cat, by the same chap who made this. The cat will travel to Australia in the boat container, to keep it company and to prevent excess luggage charges.
Tonight we pack. Tomorrow we leave at sparrow's fart for Venice.
I can't actually work out if we've got internet connection at the hotel, so I may not blog or tweet for a week. If I don't, what tales I will tell once we get home.

I miss my furry girls.

*sighs*

... Well, not a surprise really, given how toxic NSW Labour had become.
But still. Fuck. At least we kept Verity. I'm off to hibernate for the next 10 years or so.

Seriously planet Earth ...

... I know we humans have dicked you around and shat in our own nest and all, but how about lightening up a little, eh?
Those floods up in Queensland/Northern NSW are actually a bit too close to family for comfort (though all are safe and dry-ish at the moment). And now there's bloody bushfires threatening Perth!
Enough already, I've got more than sufficient to worry about right now (and we all know it's all about me).

Mad dash to the vet this morning ....

... it appeared Tigger had removed a full stitch (she had) and her gizzards were escaping (they weren't). Her wound was a bit red and sore looking, which it wasn't yesterday, and the litter tray was a bit ... icky.
Full blown panic on my part, calm non-panic on the part of Mr Brown (sometimes I think he doesn't care). A call to the vet got us in right away.
She's back home feeling much better after a shot of anti-inflammatories and the start of a course of antibiotics (it's just not fair how well cats take their medicine in the surgery, not fair at all).
We were also sent home with an 'Elizabethan-type' collar. Anybody want to guess how long it took Tigger to wriggle out of that? Go on, guess.
Poor sick Tiggywee
