New pots ...

... I didn't do the xmas sales again this year.
The crowds, the pressing humanity, the desperation, I hate it so.
So, I popped online to one of my favourite kitchen accoutrement emporia and bought myself a couple of pots.
Now, the danger of on-line shopping is you can't actually see or feel the thing before you buy it. You may have seen the item in real life and thought to yourself, "yes, that's exactly what I need". Ah, memory, you are a notoriously unreliable bitch. So, while my 2 new pots are beautiful, they are ... fucking HUGE ... and I've nowhere to put them.We need a new kitchen is what we need, stat!Seriously, if you smashed them a bit you could fit 2 whole chookies in that green one!

This is exactly why I don't buy a clay pot. I know the feeling, having purchased recently a pot large enough for four lobsters (Maine ones are BIG) and a Staub pot last year. I keep them in the garage - nowhere in my kitchen is big enough!

But so pretty...
I only buy cookware I can pick up. We had to return a skillet with a glass lid Cranky got me. One flimsy arm was not strong enough.

What quartage (or literage) did you acquire?

But Zoomie, we don't have a garage :(
A new kitchen is the only answer!
Cookie, 2 hands are needed, for both *sigh*. The Staub is 3.8l the Scanpan, about 4.8 (I didn't read the fine print).

If you heft pots like this, does it count as going to the gym? I say yes.

Yep, 3 hefts of a fully-laden pasta pot and you've done the same as a run around the block!
