My mother always said ...

... you should fold things as you take them off the line.
She said this reduced wrinkles and made life ... a little easier. She's right.

Your mother was/is a wise woman!! It saves heaps of time unnecessarily spent on ironing...

Sue - not that I'd ever iron sheets, but yes, exactly :)

I can't imagine any other way. After drying almost flat, pile things in the basket all tumbled together and they gonna wrinkle. Also: Soothing.
If it is suddenly raining, tumble in the basket is allowed.

Nothing as lovely as the smell of sheets dried outdoors. We have such on our bed tonight and I'm already looking forward to climbing into them.

Cookie, o yes, if rain is looming, fling it all in the basket and run for cover!
Zoomie, those sheets in the pic, they went straight onto the bed, with the assistance of Miss Tigger!
I LOVE the smell of sundried sheets, it fills me with a wonderful sense of wellbeing :)

I sooo like folding things right off the line.
I also fold in order so that all the t shirts are together and so on. Plus, I try to match and pair my socks as I hang them up so that is easier to zip through once they're dry.

Too obsessive?
Nah.
I think it just adds to that lovely meditative quality of the whole experience!
;o)

Lee I too fold in order so all the t shirts, knickers & such are together in the basket AND I match & pair my socks as I hang them! Too obsessive? Not in the slightest.
Laundry folding is also the girls' outside time more often than not, so I string it out for them!
