In which we finally pay actual cash money for a television set ...

... I've mentioned before that Mr Brown and I have never actually spent money on a television set. Through luck, generosity and happenstance, we've never had to.
But, last night our most recent TV, which came to us in not-so-very-happy circumstances, was replaced. With something a bit bigger, so we don't have to wear glasses to read subtitles and suchlike. As you can see, using Tigger as a comparison tool, it's quite big. Actually unspeakably vulgar in it's bigness. I'm a tad ashamed, even blushed a little, over it's size. I don't want to become 'those people' you know the ones, the people with the 'fuck-off-huge' TV that dominates the room. Cashed-up bogans, 'aspirationals', you know the type.
On the other hand, I didn't wear my glasses to watch TV last night and the picture quality is very, very good indeed. Fuck it, just call me Kylie!
In building it Mr Brown was required to break out some tools, including one of the electronic variety."What would folk do, if they brought one of these home and didn't have any tools?" Asked I.
"Well, they'd be fucked," replied Mr Brown (it was a tense moment).
Pingu & Tigger had MUCH FUN with the box. Missy Tigger played a jolly jape!
Where's Tigger? Boooo!The end.

Aw, that's the best story in the world. Boo!

I am looking up Bogan, though I suspect it means trailer-trash.

Am I a snob? Why yes, what gave me away? ;)

Ah yes, McMansions - homes to the nouveau riche!
Well, we don't live in a McMansion and we aren't rich - new or old money - but I won't dare tell you the size of our TV.

I did walk into a relative's home for the first time and nearly fell over a TV the size of twin bed tipped up on it's side! Ours is not nearly that big.

Enjoy!

Lee, I'm sure your TV is just the right size for you! As this one turns out to be for us :)

Sweet...

And we could, if pressed, always blame the needs of our ancient eyes!

I'd be in seriously big trouble... I have no man, no drill and no cats to distract me...
