The fur will fly! I once read a lengthy piece about how to introduce the new cat to the resident cat - it was pretty funny - wish I could find it for you! It involves having a friend bring the new cat into the house in a carrier, letting the resident sniff but not meet through the bars and then pretending convincingly once the friend has left that it was all a mistake, the friend just forgot the new cat, you never intended to keep this new cat and oh, my! what do we do now???
Zoomie, we are going to be all "o my Pingu, lookie what we found on the front porch, goodness, we can't leave it out there!" And, we'll see how it goes from there. I've taken 2 weeks off work to supervise the household integration. Roo, in a little basket?? :)
how sweet that you're taking time off! Great idea. Though you might find it not necessary. I've introduced several kittens, and there is much hissing and growling at first, but grown up cats don't hurt little kitties, they just complain. But interested in how things will go. Anyway, you'll want to be at home to enjoy the kittiness, no matter what.

I like the idea! Can someone please bring a wee doggy around for me?
