Small's flags are up ...

... I know they won't really do any good, but they won't hurt either.
And besides, they look quite festive. And just in case anyone is wondering what the B.O.S (bit of string) technology is all about, it's to assist the new, bebe Snail Plant to climb up to where it belongs, see? (I accidentally murdered the originals, well killed, since it really WAS an accident.) Once they are all think and strong and hanging on well I'll pull the string away. Or not.
And here be the wild and woolly Brown Mouse House top paddock (aka the front garden). The one that drives our neat, minimalist, parterre-loving neighbours to fashionable distraction.
It's not tidy, thought the "lawn" is kept in trim by nice Mr Neighbour, but it has colour, movement, attracts native bees and dragonflies and skinks. I'm embracing the untamed wilderness of it.
And bits of it smell divine, just perfect.
That is all.

Beautiful - flags, house and garden!
They may be Small's flags, but they spread good will wherever the wind blows...

Small's flags will become more beautiful as they fade. Such a nice pre-tribute!

I love your front garden. Drive your neighbors even more crazy by planting food out there.

Lee, that's a nice thought, they are wish & heath flags.
Cookie, they are a little bright aren't they!
As for foods, I do! Lemons and pomegranates.
I used to grow all our herbs out there but it made me grumping, having to stomp all the full length of the house just for some parsely!

Oh, stompy stomp! I realize it's a long, narrow house. Now I presume the kitchen is at the rear.

I would love to plant my backyard exactly like your frontyard. With plants that succeed here, of course, and with leftover room for vegetables. It could work.

Cookie, the kitchen, such as it is, is indeed at the back, so the herbs are on the steps or just after.
Veggies down the back at our place, for safety! And kitchen proximity.
