The mean-spirited have a win ...

... because that's what it is, mean-spirited, "you can't have what I have because I don't like the idea of what you get up to in the privacy of your own bedroom". Jeebers people, nobody is saying it should be compulsory!

It's only a temporary setback. The fight is already on to have the constitutional amendment repealed. We will not tolerate discrimination, even if it's by the majority.

I think it will take a brave man to make this a federal issue across the States. I'd like to know how they would recognise other such legal partnerships from other countires like mine? What happens too, to those folks that have already married, do they annul it again?

Roo, I too wonder about those who are already married, I can't imagine how I'd react if someone came up and said "on hy the way, we've voted and you & Mr Brown aren't married any more".
Bastards.
