Just been watching the big news ...

... on the tv at work.
A brand spanking new President of the US.
I'm sure he knows the world is now watching ...

I am so very excited!
Odd as this may sound, one of the best things is that he is calling on us to help!

I liked that he said he would be the president for everyone, not just those who voted for him. Fingers crossed everyone takes that to heart.

Me too! I'm hoping for a new wave of peace and understanding to sweep America and the globe. It'll feel good to feel that we have an administration that see's as as part of the solution, and not the rest of the world as the problem. I don't agree with some of his politics, but he had me with his spirit of cooperation.

I've been so ashamed.
Redemption.

UK – the cynic in me is, of course, thinking ‘wait and see’ but the rest of me is hopeful.
Poor Cookie, I never blamed you and know just how it feels to be embarrassed by a Government you didn’t vote for.

It's nice to feel happy to be American again.

I am so proud, and can't wait to jump in and help him restore this country to its greatness. Because it is great, and one of the things I love about it is that when the going gets tough, Americans band together and give each other their all. After 8 years of strife, war, and greed, it's time for the true American spirit to rise again. We lead be example, and whether we like it or not, we lead.

Yay, us! Yay, the world!

I may well pop open a bottle of the real cheese-eating-surrender-monkey fizzy wine tonight, a sort of delayed celebration.
