A little light lunchtime shopping ...

... today. I went to the Hawkesbury Harvest Farmers and Fine Food Market which brings fresh local and regional produce to we poor city workers every Friday. I went a little mad and came back with some Golden Beets (for roasting with veal on Saturday night), a big bag of proper tomatoes, some real butter made from the milk of beautiful Jersey Cows, some Salmon Rillettes and a slab of hot smoked ocean trout and a lovely lamb & vegetable pastie for lunch.
I'm sated and now I don't have to get up on Saturday morning to go to the markets at the end of the street. Yay.

Good butter is to die for. I get Irish butter from Trader Joe's here, and I could just eat it right out of the packet. I don't, but I could.

E - it's funny, when I was a kiddie I hated butter, wouldn't have it on anything but now, I love the stuff, the thicker the better.
