It took me 15 minutes ...

... to peel a mandarin today, it was one of those thin-skinned fellows, only the teeniest bits of skin came off at any one attempt (also, I'm weak as a kitten).
And it was horrid, the flesh kept ripping when I pulled off segments and it tasted very blah indeed. I had to throw it away.

Adding insult to injury!

No fair when you're feeling so crummy! Be sure to drink lots and lots of fluids and if your Mother is into making chicken soup, she could shine right now!

And what makes me even crosser is I have a whole bowl of the bastards at home. I may boil them and make a cake - that'll show em!

Poor you!
This under the weather thing has dragged on far too long! It's ever so unfair!
Try yogurt with lots of live things, double stock chicken soup and lots of juice --- not all together! Then, at the first sign of sun, bundle up and get yourself outdoors for a bit.
Take good care of yourself and let Mr. Brown coddle you as well!

Lee - Mr Brown is as bad a nurse as he is a patient I'm afraid - I've not tried the yogurt thing, I'll give it a go, with strawberries all wizzed through! Yum.

From recent posts it seems you're feeling much better! Hooray!
So sorry Mr. Brown isn't a good nurse (or patient). But if he were, the perfection would probably be intolerable!

Lee - yes, I'm recovering nicely thanks.
You're right about perfection too!
