UK - there's something rather comforting rereading a well-worn favourite? The pages soften and the book falls open at your favourite passages. E - I'm with you - I like light to fall ON a book, not FROM it.

Can't beat that new book smell and the feel of virgin pages, or the well worn pages of classic.
I will never switch to e-books, it's just not the same. The smell, for one, is not something I'm willing to give up.
