Halloween ...

... Halloween is not traditionally celebrated in Australia*. Which is a great pity because I'd just love an excuse to make this costume! Also, I could make this out of a pumpkin.

* It's starting a bit now but I think that's more of an influence of all the American TV & Movies we see down here. The tiny bits I see seem so faux, so forced, that I just can't bring myself to join in. One day though, I'm going to play Halloween in the US, where it's real.

Love the crazy alien eyes. You must must come here so you can wear it, and then we'll all go out trick or treating and I'll be laughing hysterically the entire time. I can't wait!!

hey ms mouse, i just tried to translate your Latin at the head of your blog, via the Make It Latin site.

This is what the Latin to English translation is:

"To leap upon your chair , to love you just to work not protection."

LOL! I loves it! What does it really say?

E - One day I'll make it, tis on my wish list.
Mr Bear - Mock, NEVER, it would be a form of worship and spreading the noodly word.
CAW - any kiddies turn up, give em lollies (but only the kind in wrappers apparently). As for the Latin, can't quite remember but I think it's Dance in your chair like you just don't care! hehehee

I would never mock the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. The thing makes me giggle, though.

Halloween is the best holiday ever - you get to dress us and people give you candy. I really don't see a downside. The only unfortunate thing is that it falls on a work day - so, I will rush home, put on my costume (dark fairy), light the candle in the jack-o-lantern, turn on the strobe light and wait for the kiddies to appear.

Yay!

Long live the FSM and Pastafarianism!

The twins next door, Sinister & Dexter, are VERY excited but the thought of Halloween - I may actually get some lollies to hand over to them should they come a knocking - but not for the nasty little girl who lives at the end of the road, coal for her (or am I mixing up my quasi-religious holidays here).
