Love the fern, I'm worried as I will have to uproot about 4 when building work starts, including taking down a tree (I so don't want to, but I so do want a bigger kitchen) damn!
Roo - Ferns are a lot more hardy than they look. All our tree ferns were transplanted from one bed to another, that birdsnest fern was moved too, when we first moved in. It was a sickly looking thing and now look at him. Never fear, I'm sure your ferns will be fine. Now excuse me while I drip with envy over your kitchen news!
