Mr Brown's Birthday ...

... today.
He's had the regulation 3 gifties, 1 from me, one from Small & 1 from Ping, (Ping's is likely to put him in a diabetic coma but what the hell) a mass cuddle, several phone calls and I found somewhere lovely to eat that's open on a SUNDAY! So we are booked in for dinner tonight.
The treats started Friday night, with a cake from the Lindt Cafe and yesterday I let him watch televised sport without complaint (this is a huge thing on my part people, televised sport makes my teeth bleed). Now we're off into town to buy him a new suit! And it's piss bucketing rain down there, so he won't have to do any gardening on his birthday!
EDITED TO ADD - Well, the suit hunt was successful, in fact he got 2 because you got 25% off if you did. Ping approved of the new suitbag, as you can see.

Mr Brown assures me dinner was lovely - Mr Brown reports his spaghetti with clams and braised duckie were wonderful and his glass of wine, perfect. I'm completely without smell or taste so all I can report is my whitebait fritters were crisp and crunchy on the outside, just as they should be, and my trout was moist and pink, just as it should be. What a waste.
As we'd parked outside the late-night clinic, and it was still open, and since I've become the incredible snot monster, we popped inside and saw a nice doctor who told me to stay home for a bit. So I am.

Ah, a birthday suit! Happy birthday, Mr Brown. What a shame you couldn't taste the lovely dinner. But staying home sounds pretty good.

Happy birthday Mr. B! By the way, here in California it never rains, so you'll have to excuse my nievete...but what does "piss bucketing rain" actually mean? Lots of big, fat raindrops? Skinny, pingy, blasting kind of rain? I love the expression and, if it ever rains here again, will definitely work it into several conversations.

hehe birthday suits, I didn't even think of that - my brain having turned to mucus!
Willsie, piss bucketing rain is lots and lots of big fat rain coming down really hard and fast - mad rain - you don't want to get caught out in the piss bucket rain that's fer sure!
