... not exactly, but it's been unseasonably warm for this time of year. It's almost June and we've had the heater on 3 maybe 4 times since Anzac day (the date after which all good Australians think it's ok to turn the heaters on). It must be saving us heaps on the gas bill.
Ok, I am complaining. I'm a winter bebe. I love winter, I love wearing jumpers, and woolly socks and snuggling up under big fat doonas, and drinking hot chocolate in a warm house while the cold & wind howls outside. Bugger it, I'm still wearing short sleeves. I've not worn a coat yet! I have 3 beautiful winter coats and if this keeps up they won't get an airing this year.
I may have to go visit my sister in cold old Canberra, they know how to do winter down there!

Ack, winter! I have no patience for it. I went to the east coast around Memorial Day 2 years ago (end of May) and it was, like, 50 degrees F. I thought I was going to die. I didn't, but I couldve.
What's 50 degrees F in real money?
Just wait Mouse. It's coming, and my tip is that it's comign with a vengeance, along with more rain than we've seen in about 10 years.
Or not. The weather can be a bit like that.
And 50 is, um, around 10 in the real money.
50F = 10C.
I know, I'm a wimp.
Well, the rain arrived last night Mr Bear, not just Sydney too, which is great. I'll keep my jumpers for a while yet.
E!! 10, 10!!! that's not cold - where I grew up -10 was not unusual at night! Perhaps a summer visit to Australia would be best for you afterall.
