... blue salvia, won't grow in the garden bed, insists on being a trip hazard on the pathway. And so, this afternoon we are off to the bridge walk, we booked in ages ago. Mr Brown has come over all doom and gloom, predicting 16 million unbooked folk will turn up and it will be CHAOS, and we will never get home, or we will die of thirst trapped on the bridge, and the girls will starve (actually, wouldn't my mum his here and would not let her grand kittens starve) .... blerg to that, I'm looking forward to it. It may even rain!
Rained yesterday, a nice big rainstorm - but as we sat in traffic I watched gallons of water rush down the gutters on the side of the road and I thought (a) bastard smokers, why won't they throw their bloody butts in the bin?, and (b) there must be some way of harvesting all that lovely water.

I love Salvia.
*love* it.
Oh it's lovely stuff - doesn't need much water, lovely flowers of all colours, the native bees love it and, the dark red one, at the back, smells like pineapples!
