... There are those that say "it's not the heat, it's the humidity that makes it unbearable". They are wrong, it's both.
The heat and humidity combination here is Sydney is what makes February & March so totally vile. But when I lived in Canberra the summer was all heat, no humidity, and it was equally horrible. I complained then, I complain now. Bring on the cool weather I say.

It rained here today - I left my office door open and all the rain spattered on the carpet. It was luvverly. Next time, I'll try to bottle some of it for you :)
Oh, it's raining here, that just adds to the humidity. It was 78% this morning - the clouds hold in the heat, they rain down the humidity, I'm needing a holiday I think.

I hate the heat - and the humidity. But I much prefer dry heat since I am from the desert.

Hello Mr Gatsby, if I had to weigh up the two evils of dry -v- humid heat, I too would go for the dry - as humidity brings my hair to some sort of feral life!
