Yesterday we drove ...

... to Canberra to visit the Egyptian Antiquities from the Louvre exhibition at the NGA.To get there we had to drive through RAIN! Lots of it, burbling down gutters, grey skies, the whole shebang.
As we got closer to Canberra we noticed the clouds cleared, the skies were blue. Poor Canberra, the rain just doesn't seem to make it over the Great Dividing Range, just look at Mr Brown's Mum's lawn (no watering AT ALL for lawns. The only green bit is around her Maple tree, which she waters with shower run off).
Anyhoo the gallery was great,
That's the replacement ball thing between the Gallery & the High Court, the original globe was hit by lightening years ago.
as always, the the exhibition amazing, and, although tempted I did not purchase a single thing in the gift shop! Way to go me.
We had time for a coffee and then it was time to drive home, the closer we got the greyer the skies became ... and home to more RAIN,

which Ping was not allowed out in.

Poor Ping indeed but she's recovered her disappointment and is rolling around in the sunshine right now.
Perez, I used to live in a house where the roof would leak everytime it rained, no matter what we did, your friend has my sympathy.

DMM - did you catch the rain with empty ice cream containers and buckets? Gosh, you poor thing!

Yes we did, we would get up and put buckets under the leak & Mr Brown was made to go outside, up a ladder and onto the roof to try & find the problem. The problem was it was a stupid FLAT roof, I hope I never live in a flat roofed house again. (In fact a non-flat roof was one of the looking for a new house in Sydney rules!).
