I have a tiny green spider living in my beard ...

... my beard of Spanish Moss that is. I've yet to start cultivating old-lady whiskers! And while outside I noticed, not for the first time in the last week or so, that there is a definite air of Spring about the place. This Wisteria has survived. The pale pink Camellia (technically an Autumn flower) lingers on. The Bay Tree is in flower. The dainty Canberra Bluebells are out and wafting about on their elegant stalks. The Freesias are blooming. And the Jasmine has gone berserk, the smell is amazing. And look, it was cold enough this winter to tempt a Jonquil out. Esmeralda's nest is still sound, and nestled in Persephone's new green leaves. And this, I can't remember what it is, but it's bound to make some bees happy!

Is it true? Is it spring to be? I wish you whispery, caressing air.

Zoomie, it certainly does. I do love Rupert.
Cookie, there's no escaping it, doors and windows open all day and the neighbours had their 1st (and I trust only) bbq of the season.
My laundry smells like meat :(

Are the furry girls enjoying their outdoor space now?

Zoomie, they ARE, they spent 1/2 of yesterday in it, sunning and sniffing BBQ smells :)

So you fine folks don't really get a winter, per se, do you? I mean, it's a month to spring and you're all bloomy and everything! That's so cool.

E, no, we don't really get a winter. Even though folk have been saying this winter's been the coldest for years. HA I say, I laugh in the face of Sydney winters, pathetic is what they are.
Not so cool though, I love proper seasons we just get warm, hot, hot & humid, slightly cooler, warm again!

What lovely pictures. I need to get out with my camera and take some updated spring shots. I just need the sun to shine...
