... the credit card got stopped by the bank because I bought something over the phone from a Stawell-based business, at about the same time Mr Brown was buying his heart's desire in Brisbane (of all places). The bank did not like the wide-spread spending and stopped the card.
It's all mended now and look, look what we got for the furry girls. It doesn't look like much and the girls weren't terribly impressed. Although they did like the boxes it came in.And approve or not, nothing was keeping Tigger away from interesting doings and goings on.The weather was, a tad inclement for building outside. But with the clever use of an umbrella, Mr Brown building and me holding things and handing things over, we got the job done. Something for unaccompanied, unsupervised outside time. Nobody, other than Mr Brown, has actually been in it yet, dainty paws don't like to get wet. But heads have been poked out the door, outside air has been sniffed. And I expect, as soon as the sun shines, these two will drag their furry arses out for a proper inspection.

or you could bulild some sort of wet weather tarp?
What a wonderful idea for two inquisitive kitties! You won't lose them, they get sunshine and interesting stuff to do - when I die, I want to be reincarnated as one of your cats.
Oh, a cat's wet dream!!
Can you put something over the bolt ends? Ping pong balls, putty, gum.
S - You can get a roof, but I don't want to block out any sunshine - I'm all of a dither!
Zoomie, so do I!
Cookie, bolt ends? where? We've checked for sharpies *dashes outside to look*
Cookie - Ooo in the door! Yes, Mr Brown will cut those off one day, but they have been there 10 years or so and no one's lost an eye yet :)
There's a plastic compound called Sugrue which could be put on those bolt ends to round them off - it comes in a packet and can be shaped however you need it, sort of like putty.
We learned today that a friend's credit card was stolen yesterday. While she was on the phone to the bank to cancel it, the bank said, "Oh, yes, right now your card is being used out of town." Denied!!
Zoomie, I'll look into it, there's sure to be something similar here. Thanks.
Cookie, I guess it's good the bank keeps an eye on things, but it means we have to fill the bank in re our travel plans, so they don't cancel when we start hitting the shops in Italy !
So I don't quite get it. Does this get put up against the cat door so they can go out unsupervised? Or is it just so they can get up higher w/out jumping the wall? Looks awesome, though, whatever it is. Lucky girls!
E, there's a little tunnel leading from the house to the outside bit.
It's so they can see outside better, lounge in the sun and chat to the little boy next door over the fence :)
Wow!
Ditto on Zoomie's reincarnation request!
As for their exploring it fully, they have to count to at least a thousand for something so fantabulous!
;o)
