A post or 2 or 3 ago ...

... Zoomie asked for a bit of an update on various odds & bobs.
The furry girls are just fine and dandy. Full of beans and growing their winter coats, so, plush and lovely. The taddies, there's not as many as we started with. I hope they aren't eating their siblings. No sign of any legs yet and still with tails attached. And, even if it wasn't requested, some Autumn in the Garden news.
The Camellias are coming out. As always the Fried Egg Camellia is blooming nicely. And the Hot Pink one is just about to explode into a riot of gaudy colour. And, it looks like a bumper crop for passion fruit is on its way. It was a pretty crap one last year, since we'd had to put in new vines. This season there's dozens of big pendulous green fruit, just sitting there, making sugar inside.Perhaps our Small is helping things along this time.

Oh, you killed me with that. I know what it's like.

Hey, do you LIKE crunching seeds? Passionfruit, pomegranate. Not my favorite, but cool!

Made myself tear up a bit too Cookie. I did it again when I popped out, just then, and watched a couple of baby skinks warming themselves on the bronze. *weep*
I LOVE Crunchy foods much more than soft. Crunch, crunch, crunch.

I have a very different one but also a cat over where my Heartley Boy and Snow are buried. I think of them whenever I see it. Lovely garden and everything looks so healthy! What do you do to get such deep green, healthy camellia leaves? Mine are yellowish although the plant flowers.

Zoomie, we mulch, we are generous with cow and chook poo but that's pretty much it. I think for Camellias its all about the location, location, location :)
If it's yellowing, perhaps a light sprinkle of epsom salts? We do that for the Gardenia now and again.

Zooms: I think camellias are pretty stupid-proof, so you're not doing anything wrong. They do like a bit of shade.

YELLOW PEN HERE!

Zoomie, it's true, they do like some shade, although ours cop a bit of a sunny beating in summer, the leaves get a bit of burn!
Cookie YELLOW!

I'm afraid to move it - and it's shade for fully half the day - so I'll try the fertilizing. Thanks to you both.

Little Small - made me tear up. Sigh. But the passion fruit will be a great gift.

E, Yeah, I know, I make myself tear up all the time. But that was 'her' spot in life, so I'm glad I still see her there.
