Our roses ...

... You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose.Even if it's going to cost you $1,400 to make sure they are properly fed, and the poo-tray cleared, while you are away on holiday.

Not with your gimpy-yet-to-be-broken-in new hip you won't little mother. And the GUILT, think of the guilt if you were to fall down the stair!!!

I know that feeling -and that bill! But Cora did so well in our absence that I'd gladly spend twice the green.

Zoomie, and at least with this one, the girls get to stay at home :)

Lee, Sydney is a bit expensive, and this is for the home visit kind, twice a day. It's cheaper with only one visit a day but I suspect Ping would eat all her and Tiggers food if it got put out in one go!

W, it is for nearly a month :) We do have rather nice neighbours but I don't feel I could ask them to do poo-tray patrol for that long :D
I miss the days when my parents and my sister lived about 5minutes away, mass collaborative catsitting was all the rage!

Our dog sitter came to stay with Cora for two weeks - expensive but Cora thrived and we went without worry. Win-win.

You mean I could come and live in your house for a month? Hellz!

Housesitting plus petsitting - Ms. CookieCrumb you are on to something!
Big downside though is that Mr. & Ms. Mouse wouldn't be there...

Totally worth it. You can't just leave them without proper care. Besides, it would ruin your holiday because you'd be worried all the time.

E, exactly :) Still, I'm planning to teach them to use the human loo, which will at least make weekends away easier & cheaper, the neighbours can step in then :)
