I'm almost too afraid to post this ...

... given all the difficulties we've had getting Persephone to fruit to fruition.
So far we've managed loads of flowers, but they all drop, not unusual with young trees apparently.
Still, this year one flower stayed. It's so exciting, there's one, one bright red, beautiful pomegranate on the tree.Any bastard picks it earns a stabbing, right!

Anyone who picks it deserves to be pursued into the depths of hell - but leave her/him there, don't help 'em come back for part of the year!

Oh and I forgot to mention the poster - it's brilliant. Have you thought of having it spotlit so it scares the beejesus out of anyone padding around the house?..(think evil grin here, 'cos that's what I'd do)

Zoomie, I'm harping back to the great lemon theft of 2010!
Cookie, in the front yard, yes, but right up against the house, not the fence, they'd have to come into the yard and risk the BEAR TRAPS!
Roo, good, I'd hate to have to stab you ::
As for the banner, I could jemmy up a sort of spotlignt, I'll give it a go & see.

Hurray!!!
I see you have set bear traps.
Have you hired armed guards yet?
;o)

Lee, the cats have been asked to keep an eye out and shout "FUCK OFF" to any transgressors, and then call the police.
I'm not sure how that's going to work out.

I knew what you were referring to. I was referring to Greek mythology.

Speed dial is the key.
You'll have to program "000" into one key and train the girls with a treat on the designated button.
Because you have lots and lots of free time to do that - right?
;o)

My parents have a pomegranate tree in their back yard. Been there for years and years. I can remember eating ripe pomegranates in the bath with my sister, because my mother was afraid of juice stains on our clothing (and her furniture, I'm sure). We also have a lot of buds that drop off the tree, but quite a lot of fruit. We try spray the flowers, as the petals fall, with organic spray to keep pests away, but they generally end up a bit wormy. Let us know how yours does!!

Zoomie, yes, can you imagine, only seeing the one you love for 1/2 the year? Bah :(
Lee, right, that's what I'll do this weekend, teach the cats to use the speed dial function ;)
Sue, we grew them in Canberra, but they weren't good eating ones. Never had worms tho. That's somethign I never considered.
Persephone was my birthday present in 2007, apparently the first couple of years are difficult. Next year, I'm sure, we'll have a proper crop.
