Some time ago ...

... I bought an owl, for the library. He's been sitting up there, at the top of a bookshelf since August 2008.
He just looks down at you in that unblinking owlish way.Just the other day I was pottering through one of those shops, you know, shops that sell things you don't need and didn't even realise you wanted until you spotted those things all temptingly on display. And in that shop, for under $5 was another owl for the library.
So I got one, obvy! O, and this, isn't it pretty? It's an accidental freebie we keep on the end of the light switch.

Lee, they are strange places, those shops :)

We have an Owl too, very studious it is, sat on a book, but we keep it in another room, as it looks far to stern at times ;o)

Roo, I love owls, they add a touch of gravitas to a room I think :)

Love both the silliness of the senior owl and the seriousness of the new one, especially behind the curtain - he's a little mysterious.

Guardians, aren't they? ;)

Zoomie, the silly one is nice to squeeze too :)
Cookie - oui!

So what is that thing hanging off a string now...?

E - it's a hand-made glass pendant, but it's too big for me to wear, so the light switch does :)
