! got sent home at 3:30pm today ...

... so I called the Vet while walking home up the hill and booked Miss Pingu in for her annual shots & worm tablet (look I'm happy to pay someone to do it for me, I hate administering pills).
Miss Pingu is a tad ... plump ... we go "oofff" when we pick her up. I know how this happened I'm just having trouble slimming the greedy minx down. But there's about 500g too much Pingu and the vet described her thighs as "meaty", so slim down she will.
Poor Pingu.

Sounds like Ping is getting some of Tigger's chow - which might explain some of Tigger's naughtiness, too. :-)

"Meaty" thighs. I've always said Bartlett's legs would be the first part I braise.
Happy weekend. Where's the bloke?
(Did you see the poem in this week's New Yorker about an aging Men at Work spotted in an airport between gigs? I am SO not a groupie.)

Sigh...
Please tell dear Miss Pingu we feel her pain...

Yeah, my girls could stand a little slimming down, too.

Zoomie, it was eating what Small didn't that started it, that she gets "a little bit" of Tigger's extra kitten growing food is not helping at all. Mr Brown has been given a strict "no snacking for pingu" talk.
Cookie, yummy, they'd come up a treat, like lamb shanks :)
Lee, I will, it's a common problem shared among species I think.
E, but they're so HUNGRY!

Cookie, he was in Townsville (UGGG).
Do you mean this one ? http://www.newyorker.com/fiction/poetry/2010/08/30/100830po_poem_bruck? I was never a fan of MAW, none of them were pretty enough for shallow young me ;)

Mouse: Oh, you found it. Brilliant. I liked MAW music, but could not pick a single one to neck with. Heh.
