Martian Food ...

... Zoomie suggested it, I'm game.
This, believe it or not, was delicious. It's a Passionfruit Clafoutis, that basically looks like I baked frogspawn into a sponge.
And this, well I still cannot believe I put these things in my mouth. But I do, gleefully.

S, it's just like the cherry or plum kind only you put dollops of passionfruit pulp in it.
I thought I HAD sent the pic, will do straight away!

It's always the funniest looking food that tastes the best.

Your description of "frogspawn" is the best! I laughed out loud. Good luck in the contest!

M - ugly but good is the phrase I think.
Zoomie, ta, my fingers are crossed.
Roo, I have not but I suspect I will, soon if this cool weather sticks around.

YUM!
Especially the oysters.
Now I want oysters.
Now.
I am no where near oysters now.

Darn you Morgan Mouse!

teeheee - nor am I, although Mr Brown spotted our oyster knife in the drawer last night and suggested we get some oysters in, at 9:30pm!!! Daft bugger.

The frogspawn, I'd try (and probably love!). The oyster, NO WAY, not a chance...

Sue, until last year I wouldn't eat sea snot (aka oysters) either. I finally did and bingo, LOVE the buggers.
The frogspawn was home grown, the best kind :)

Oh no! I just couldn't put that in my mouth! it actually makes my stomach lurch...

Nothing like home grown granadillas! My son picked our first one ever a few weeks ago and scoffed the whole thing out the shell with a teaspoon on his own :(

Sue, shhh don't tell, but I've done that to Mr Brown :)

Sue - Oysters are wonderful, and I know that this may sound like sacrilage, but a Beef & Oyster pie... food of the gods.

However (and more importantly) what's a granadilla ? Sounds like a cross between a gorilla and a grenade

Roo, it's a kind of passionfruit

Seriously Roo? You've never heard the word granadilla? Funny... Looking forward to a slice of that pie you're going to have to make next time I'm in the UK - I might be able to eat the oysters if they were actually cooked!
