It's hot ...

... how hot?
So hot I'm drinking beer.
I don't drink beer. I hate the stuff, it tastes like copper pennies to me.
My mum, not a beer drinker either, has always said beer could be quite refreshing, on a really hot day. I did not believe her.
But today, after driving into the hot deep west (to visit our kitten, yes, OUR kitten) and back again, I got so hot I thought my gizzards might boil. Cold water was not doing it for me.
So, I thought I'd give that beer idea a go.
I'm sipping a Baron's Lemon Myrtle Witbier as I type.I can feel my internal temperature coming down.
I cannot taste pennies.
This is going to make me fat(er), isn't it?!

Sadly, yes, but if your gizzards boiled, you'd make a lovely, slender corpse. You made the right choice.

I checked the label, much less alcohol than wine, so fatter but less liverish perhaps?!

Never mind, it's only the one beer. No worries!

I agree with Lee... don't adopt their method of buying beer from 5 counties, then saying "not that we are big drinkers"..... ahem ;o)

That beer sounds quiet nice, you may have to set some aside, mind you we have just seen the way they hike the cost in flights in the summer....blimey!

Roo, if you come to this end of the continent I promise to have several kind of beers chilling in the fridge in anticipation.
I'll also kill (well buy) a fatted lamb for to bbq in your (& Peter's) honour.
Can't help you with the airfares though, your lot do the same you know :)
