... and did bugger all.
Mr Brown & his crew went to check out the facilities and the boat and such like, leaving me to nurse a cold and sore feet. So I did bugger all. A waste of a day I know but well needed, we are notorious for the exhausting pace of our "holidays".
Mr Brown took Rupert with him and took these shots for me. He described them to me as "real, HONKING geese". Which is one of the reasons I'll keep him for a while longer. He also took pictures of this. I guess I should be nice to it, it's the reason we are hear after all.
They returned late in the afternoon, the crew with ankle damage, sustained while gawping at a wooden boat.
Leaving the injured one on ice, Mr Brown & I ventured out to the Amish Market for snacks.
Can one fall in love with a food emporium? I think I may have.
"If we lived here I'd shop here every day" I said after selecting some olives from the olive bar and some Back to Nature Organic Stoneground Wheat Crackers.
"We'd be broke in a week" said Mr Brown, eyeing the price of the air-dried beef I'd dropped in the basket.
"Don't be silly, we'd be millionaires" was my retort, as I selected some Kashi Crunchy Granola Bars. "Now, New York State or Washington State apples?"
"O, New York, of course".

I love your logic: "Don't be silly, we'd be millionaires". Stopped him right in mid-worry I'll bet!
Hope the crew's ankle is healed quick as a wink!
;o)

P.S. You may already know this but they are "Canada Geese": http://is.gd/2YBF9 And it is said that they mate for life...
Well Lee, it would be the only way to live comfortably in this rather lovely town.
I thought they may be Canada Geese, I once saw a movie Fly Away Home (I think) about a girl who brought some up, and then flew a microplane to teach them how to migrate. It made me smile and smile, that movie.
I love New York. Sigh... And you know, a day off is a good thing. You want to enjoy the other fast-paced days, and a day or rest I think enhances the other days.
E, well it certainly made today possible :)
