Our last American Dinner ...

... Yes, that's right, lobsters, with CLAWS! The pictures were taken with Mr Brown's Blackberry, as we don't generally take Rupert to dinner with us.

It took me a lifetime to figure out the claws weren't as tasty as the tail. To a kid, the claws are easier to get into.
I'm so happy you got a couple of fistfuls! Bewdy, bottler!
Oh, one more thing. Did you know there's a restaurant chain in the US called Outback Steakhouse? (Oh, crap, I see they've infested AU now; sorry.) I ate a zillion-pound lobster there -- with claws -- once.

One of the great joys of living in the US is these wonderful crustaceans! Next time you come, we'll go to North Beach and have a lobster dinner there. Italian section of SF - very fun!

Cookie, you're right, the tail meat is better, our crayfish are all tail meat (no claws) but the novelty of claws, the theatre and drama of claws, such fun!
Zoomie, you can count us in! (Did you know we live within walking distance of Sydney's Little Italy?)

No, I didn't know that - even more reason to visit Sydney with you! :-)

Zoomie, you also need to sample our oysters, I think you'd like them and then there's the possums
