Sunday ...

... we went for a bit of a walk. Looked at what is fast becoming the only "working" bit of the harbour. Some nice trees.Lovely open spaces. A nice cottage by the sea. Some sandstone.
Some birdies. Some history. O, and this. This is "our" bridge, not as famous as the otherone, but we like it.

I love those cable stay bridges - so elegant! We are having one built to replace part of the Bay bridge, but it won't be ready until 2014 or so. What is the significance of the date 9.11.2064?

"A nice cottage by the sea"
Nice is an understatement!
And I (like Zoomie) am curious about the date...

I fancy the cottage for myself..

Zoomie (& Lee) I've no idea about the "date" or even if it is a date, a whole bunch were arranged around a tree, all different numbers. One day I'll look it up!
As for the cottage by the see, out of our range since we didn't win the $90 million at the weekend!
Zoomie, the bridge, I love to hear the wind go through it!

Beautiful bridge, and beautiful walk. And yes, what is the significance of the date/numbers? Please quench our thirst for knowledge, oh mousy one.

Dear all, Professor Google has not helped re the numbers, I've emailed the Glebe Socitey, perhaps they can help! Next stop is Sydney City Council and I'd really rather not.
