... it started well, with a promise to my favourite aunt that I'd get some olives and artichokes from the nice bloke who comes to our market (A) on Saturday. Except he didn't come this Saturday.
Ok, fine, we'll pick up the baguette in Rozelle (B) on Sunday morning, then pop down to Leichhardt (C) to the Grocer for olives and stuff before we drive off, hell, we can get take-away coffee too.
So we did, grabbed the bread and hooned down for the olive pickup.
Only, and remember we've lived her since 2000, those shops don't open until 10AM! We've never been up to shop that early on a Sunday. Ooopski.
So, where to find olives? Hurtle back down Balmain (D) way, to the (fantastically overly-priced) organic supermarket. It must be open, there's a cafe attached.
It was and $24 later (fuck they were expensive olives) we have olives, 2 coffees and are on our way.
Easy really.
Off to Bundeena, family, food and the most amazing cake I have ever seen.
Rupert got left behind in the rush, so I'll have to wait until someone else sends me a picture, but it will blow your minds.

I want to hoon.
(What does it mean?)
Hi CookieCrumb -
After looking up Hoon in Urban Dictionary, I know I need to be careful how I use it!
I'd hate to make a mistake!
Hi DMM -
The best laid plans - and all that!
So glad it all worked out in the end!

Cookie, it's to drive a bit fast n dangerous, so I'm exagerating because Mr Brown would never drive dangerously!
Lee, only the first one counts - the second I'd never heard of! Goodness me!
That's all my Mum's neck of the woods, that map. Hope you had a load of 70year old fun.
Between my blog and comments left on other blogs, I've made lots of international vocabulary gaffes. So many, that I often turn to Google and the wide variety of slang and other dictionaries to keep me from putting my foot in it!
