... we'll sort of.
I pinged my mum an email the other day, telling her how this
was one of my favourite photos of us. We look like we're having a blast.
She replied, "They were little red pants, and the jumper was my first attempt at Fairisle knitting. It was white, with red and blue pattern on it. I felt so clever.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was the day you said 'yeah, yeah, pink ducks'*. The picture was taken at Taronga Zoo, alongside the giraffe enclosure, if I remember correctly.
You were the cutest little thing!"
* "yeah, yeah, pink ducks" was my response to flamingos. Flamingos are all very well but the tigers were more my thing. Pink ducks has become a family phrase, a way to articulate extreme unimpressedness.

That's so nice that your Mum can share so much detail with you!
And those family expressions are treasures!
;o)

Lee, I gather the detail, merrily, while I may.
I was never that smart, or blase.
Cookie, I must have been wildly irritating, so young and so world weary.
Any chance she can knit me a jumper??? ;O) Glad to see you back on track. x
Roo, I suspect, but you never know ;)
