Cookie - those were the days eh, when mothers freely exposed their bebe's to the evil sun! Gawd weren't we pale? S, bollocks, it's the sand, touching me, getting into my nappy, arrgggg!
I remember holding my then toddler niece, who was afraid of the ocean, in my arms as I walked into the ocean. I told her she was in charge. I'd walk her back out anytime she gave the signal. I did just that, over and over and over again. Soon she was giggling as the waves tickled her toes as her legs dangled from my waist. It was an amazing time, which I'll never forget. She still loves the ocean. ;o)
Lee, I'll dip my toes in the water, I'll walk up and down a beach but I WON'T lie around in the sun on the sand and I WON'T let my feet leave the "ground" when I'm in the water.
