There's a bit of a battle of wills ...

... going on at work at the moment.
There's a few (3) recalcitrant old men who won't put their dirty dishes in the dishwasher in the communal kitchen. Instead, they leave them in the sink, dirty, festy, fully expecting some handmaiden or other to come along and clear away the mess for them.
On Friday a dirty tea cup and spoon found their way into a certain someone's in-tray.
This afternoon one of the fellows actually asked one of us to shift out of the way so he could pop his festering plate in the sink. Unfortunately the shock of his audacity was so profound nobody came up with a suitable reply at the time (though, as you can imagine, plenty were discussed, some hours too late, as is always the way).
I'm sure these men think they are going to win this, but I can assure you they won't. There's a great many feisty women in this office, we outnumber them by far.

That's just so stupid and rude, it's not that difficult or time consuming to rinse out a dish and put it in the dishwasher.

Twits!

There's a line from an old Robin Williams album when he was doing a Shakespeare riff in a stentorian voice:
"Assholes do vex me!"
