Oh dear ...

... I think we all need to take a deep breath, calm down and remember, he hasn't actually been found guilty yet.

That is good advice.
It's very troubling when technology gets used to incite people in this way.
I hope the courts are able to achieve swift justice.

Of course, justice is rarely swift, but in this case let's hope they keep him out of the way of the lynch mob.

It seems to be a sad aspect of our society... When one of our number makes a bad decision (Or in this case, an horrendously bad decision), the rest feel the need to abandon our civilized selves and return to our animal instincts.

We had a case in Utah a couple of years ago, where a nasty fire (thankfully, not deadly) was set by a homeless guy, who figured it was his best option to survive the winter. Set a fire, own up to it and then spend 3 months with a bed and 3 meals a day. It was tragic anyway that it came to that, but if someone had been killed, it would have been tragic across the board. I don't the motive for your particular guy, but the 'Lynch Mob' mentality would only make it worse.

Hopping off me soap box now!

UK, Lynch mobs, I get the uneasy feeling we are going to see more and more.
S, you'll see the heart of stone if he's found guilty!
