I'm a sailing widow ...

... for 2 weeks, come tomorrow. Mr Brown is off to New Zealand at the crack of sparrow-fart to sail in the 2008-2009 Flying Dutchman World Titles.
He's promised to come home, he may even bring some duty-free booze - until then, because one doesn't drink alone, it's 14 temple days in a row for me. Lucky we got a case of fizzy water in then, eh?

Do you worry about him?
I ask because I have a black belt in worrying.

OOOOh sailing, it's been ages since I was yachting. Last time we took one of the Whitbread yachts out for a couple of days. Fab!

As for the 14 days temple, do you not have friends so you can be "ladies that do lunch"?

I'm allocating any worrying time to Lee, ;o)

Did it snow for crimbo? x

Lee - WORRY? Oh yes indeedy, I'm a first class worrier - It drives him stark bonking crazy, all the questions about sharks, and waves and sunscreen and lifejackets and proper breakfasts and whatever else pops into my head. It's not helping, the disaster at sea that is otherwise known as the Sydney to Hobart all over the news tonight. Still, those chaps got rescued didn't they!?
Roo, sailing makes me vomit - literally (a big disappointment in our married life for Mr Brown let me tell you).
As for temple days, I'm sure I'll be led astray, but my intentions are good and that counts, non?

Oh, and no, it didn't snow, it sweltered. Bah.

Actually, the Sydney to Hobart Race was on my mind when I asked the question.
Chuck has come to tell himself that my worrying and asking questions or admonishing him to stay safe is just another way of my saying "I love you".

Hope the next two weeks fly by for you and are safe, successful and satisfying for Mr. Brown!

I know you will miss him. Can you talk by cell phone?

As for water, I LOVE water. I don't buy bottled stuff. I drink refrigerated tap water. It will cure anything, maybe even lonesomeness.

Lee, he's sailing out of Napier, a nice safe bay he assures me, not big oceans. So I only have to worry about man-eating sharks!
Cookie - he's taken the crackberry - so yes, we won't be cut of entirely. I join you in your love of water, we too drink the stuff from taps, the fizzy stuff is for treats, I can pretend it's champagne ;)
