Eating out is traditional ...

... on Bastille Day, apparently.
So, in the spirit of the revolution, we will tonight, with our friends the Hedonists. We're all booked in for a night of fine dining (and drinking) at La Grande Bouffe, just down the road, which will make the stumble home simple.
And this is what we shall be having, read it and drool :-
Escargots a la Bourguignonne
Seared Scallops with Celeriac Crème and Chanterelles (with 2005 JJ Vincent Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay)
Roasted Kingfish with Pea Puree, Mussels and Sauce Vierge (with 2006 Chateau Rio Tord)
Passionfruit Sorbet (with Champagne)
Confit Duck Leg with Choucroute and Foie Gras Jus (with 2003 Monredon Cotes Du Rhone Shiraz Grenache Blend)
Pont l'Eveque with Candied Clementines (with 2005 Chateau Lamonthe Vincent Cabernet Merlot)
Opera Cake (with 2005 Grande Maison ‘Cuvee des Anges’ Monbazillac)
and finally, some Coffee or Tea with Petit Fours.
I predict a sleep in for me tomorrow.

I realize you told us to drool - how could we do anything else? But you really should have put a "Bib Warning" sign up in the title of your post. These computers of ours cost a pretty penny and we glaze over and start drooling onto them as we read your menu. Well, not only is it not pretty, repairs can get expensive!
Hope it was as perfect as anticipated!

Oh Lee, it was wonderful, really wonderful, and just the perfect amount of everything. I sit here hangover free and ready for breakfast.

E, Funnily enough, that sound reverberated around the small restaurant!
