I've ordered a new pair of long-distance glasses, with spiffy stuff that makes them go dark when it's sunny. Woot.

I know what you mean - I was "forced" to watch several episodes of a simply _dreadful_ "reality" TV show because a friend was on it. I was soooo glad when he was "fired!"
Lee - worry not, only my mum and my sister (S) even know about the blog - young cousin's feelings are safe. Though, I suspece he (or she) knows that it's shite - one does have to do what one does have to do to pay the bills. I work for the un-named Government department after all!
