Our back door ...

... is slowly rotting away, from the bottom. I blame the rain because, well, it's the damp that's causing the problem.
Not all that long ago (months ago actually) a big chunk fell off the bottom (along with the weather-strip thingy) which I took as a sign that something must be done.
So, after lots of hint dropping which gradually evolved to almost shrew-like nagging, this morning we went door shopping. We bought one too, well ordered it and arranged for a useful carpenter chappie to come and fit it. Yes Mr Brown could do it – was planning too in fact - but an extra $150 or so to save the trouble was too good a deal (also, I just know we’d end up dropping the bloody thing on my foot).
The original plan was to get a door with some glass up top, to let the light in, with a solid bottom, because it looks all solid & secure.
This is basically what we ended up choosing (plain white, clear glass).
Why? So Ping will be able to see out!

It's groovy. I wish I had that for my front door.

Cookie, I've got BIG plans for the front door, got to find myself an artist. This one will let the morning sun in on the cats' favourite AM sunning spot (open door at the moment, obvy).

That's lovely and unusual!
Looking forward to seeing pics of the new back (and front!) door in place!
