In which Mr Brown panders ...

... to me, once again.
I was reading over at apartmenttherapy.com a while back, about this woman who had what looked like a crystal necklace for her loo. Apparently hanging a crystal over a toilet which supposedly disperses the chi horizontally so it doesn't go vertically down the loo.
"Wow" thought I, "what a crock".
But it's pretty, and we just happened to have a pretty string of crystals (that came with the house, we found them in the bathroom funnily enough) just hanging about in the laundry. So, Mr Brown was cajoled up a ladder to pop a hook in the ceiling directly above the loo from which to hang the crystal. Tis noice no?
Oh, and go read the comments, the woman who wondered "how sanitary would it be in the long run?" cracked me up.
The same post said plants in the bathroom were a good idea. I'm wondering if my beard counts.

I'm neutral on the whole feng shui concept, but I can tell you that I will not be keeping my bathroom door closed because the kitty litter is in there. But I will be keeping the toilet lid down and the shower door closed due to inappropriate cat explorations. So my bathroom is not so much feng shui as cat shui. Tee hee.

But dunt you hit your head on the baubles when you stand up if you is a tallie person?
Re the beard. Is it alive or dead? Animal, mineral or vegetable?

E - we are lucky enough to have a spare loo, which is the cats' loo, so technically we don't have to share the bathroom. But we end up doing so. Lid always down because "lids go down or Pingus drown" but shower door open because ping likes to drink the water off the floor.
As for feng shui - pfft not a believer at all. However, some of the stuff is pretty and I like pretty things.

CAW - we have 10 foot ceilings - you'd have to be pretty bloody tall to bonk your head on the hanging pretty!
The beard is live, some sort of air plant - so vegetable I'm guessing. He lives in the bathroom with little treat-trips outside from time to time.

I also have a string of crystals that 'came with the house'. I'm kinda superstitious and they look ok, so i've just left them where they hang ( not in the loo ).

H&B - if mine had been ugly they'd have gone in the bin, as it was they've hung (hehehe) around until I found a "use" for them ;)
