... when we first moved to Sydney one of the things that made me unhappy was the water. I hated the taste of Sydney water, it just tasted wrong somehow. The only way I could drink it was icy-cold out of the fridge, with the cold chilling out all flavour. We spent a lot of money, in those early days, on fancy imported Italian mineral water.
I hankered after Canberra water, I'd bring bottles of it home after a visit. It was rather sad really.
But now, wouldn't you guess it, I love Sydney water straight out of the tap. Canberra water? Well YUCK, that stuff tastes like chlorine - can't drink the stuff (unless it's icy-cold, straight out of the fridge).
I only hope we never end up moving to Adelaide, I don't think I could EVER get used to the brown sludge that passes for water down that way!

Helloooooooooooooooooooo ?!
Water filter.
Get a cheap kambrook model, or even better, get Cuno filters installed under your sink, and a special 'drinking tap' for pure water above sink.
I used to sell them.
They do work.

Yeah, my sister has one for the Canberra water but I'm fine with the Sydney stuff now - I can't remember Melbourne water but the Ballaraat stuff was ok :)
