View from my chair ...

... Spent quite a bit of time outside today, so Ping could have some quality outside time - she loves it so. And all these pictures were taken from my garden chair in the shade. Also, this afternoon at the fancy grocer I succumbed to the siren call of fancy French artisan limonade because it's colour reminded me of a treat from the olden days, when I was very little. On very special occasions my dad would take me to the Birchgrove Sailing Club and I would be allowed to order "chicken in a basket and a pink lemonade". My mum told me, years later, that the barman made ordinary lemonade pink with a drop of cochineal because I'd ordered pink lemonade and none existed. I wonder if they still serve it.

awww, that barman deserves a medal! pink lemonade is served over here .. but it's quite repelling to the taste buds. it is very, very, very sweet. sickly so. so i dont drink it.

I love that you stay outside when Ping goes out. I would the exact same thing with my girls.

CAW - there's many different pom drinks here, mostly in the fancy grocer but I did buy one from the evil coles a few weeks back - it was vile.
Muffin - dinosaurs - hmm it was so long ago I can't remember ;)
E - We have to stay outside with Ping, otherwise she'd slaughter the entire skink population and probably most of the birds - also she'd pop over the fence and be kidnapped due to her extreme cuteness. Small is fine, she just finds a warm spot and sleeps the day away.

Mmm - I bought a bottle of that fancy cordial recently. I rinsed it out afterwards and use it to store chilled water as I love the bottle !

I used to have my pink lemonade made with Angostura Bitters. I still love the odd drop to 'spice' up a plain lemopnade - yum !

Yum re the bitters idea. I sometimes have a virgin G&T, the T & the bitters only.
I'll certainly be keeping the bottle it's very pretty and just right for nice cold water from the fridge.
